M at nine months

M had her nine month old appointment today. Our tall little cutie is 28 1/4 inches tall and weights 20lbs, both of which are in the 75th percentile for her age group. She hasn't taken off crawling yet but loves to clap and give high fives. So far she says daddy, ma-ma, baby and night-night but more than ANYTHING she LOVES to laugh with her big sister, A!!

A's Sticker Friend, Konnichiwa

I'm not sure this story will be funny to anyone but R and myself but we have laughed so much over this and so I thought I'd post it so if nothing else we can look back on it and laugh. :)

A few weeks ago we went to the doctor's office. After the appointment, A went to the front where all the kids get to pick out a sticker from a big bowl at the front desk. Usually A searches and searches and can't decide which one to pick but that day she saw one sticker and knew immediately that it was the one for her. It was a sticker of a little cartoon girl.

Later that evening when A and R were playing they/R named the sticker Konnichiwa. Without me realizing it, R, A and Konnichiwa played a lot together that night. Fast forward a couple of hours...R took A up for bedtime and I was cleaning up downstairs. I threw away the sticker thinking nothing of it. The next morning A came downstairs and starting crying calling out for Konnichiwa. 'Konnichiwa where are you? Konnichiwa where'd you go?" Once R filled me in on who Konnichiwa was I realized what I had done. Thankfully, it/she was resting on top of the garbage and I was able to save little Konnichiwa. A played and played and played with her/it for the next few days. Then one morning M got a hold of it and ripped it in two. Upon seeing her beloved sticker A said, "Don't be broken Konnichiwa. Don't be scared. Konnichiwa sad. Blanky will come sing to you." We then taped her up and she was back in one piece. A again played and played with Konnichiwa until a couple of weeks ago when she went missing. A has been calling out for Konnichiwa everyday (multiple times) in hopes that she returns. We went for another doctor's appointment today and A asked the doctor and the front desk lady for Konnichiwa but sadly since we don't know her true name we were unable to find her look-a-like sticker. As A would say, "Poor little Konnichiwa." A true testiment that you don't have to spend a lot of money on a little girl with a big imagination. :)
