Good Friday
Since becoming parents there have been so many times over the past (almost) 10 months that R and I are filled with a thankfulness that we have never experienced before. We have this beautiful, healthy and very spunky little girl in our lives that God has entrusted to us. For as much as I knew I would love her, no one could have prepared me for the overwhelming love I have for A. There are no words. None. Today on Good Friday I am reminded of a love that expands beyond any love that you or I could ever fathom. The greatest love story of all time. The love of a Father who willingly gave up his son so that we might have life; an abundant life.
Since giving my life to Christ there have been many times that I've ignored him, looked the other way or disappointed him. Yet every single time I have put my trust in God over the past twenty some odd years he has never, not once, failed me. I haven’t always understood what he’s doing or why but he has never ever failed me. In a similar way that I could never totally or completely describe to someone the love I have for A, trying to describe how amazing God is in my life and in my family's life is far more difficult.
For God so loved the world that he gave up his one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
