After keeping A away from the snow almost all winter we decided this morning to see what she thought of the 7+ inches of snow in our backyard. As you can see in the pictures, she wasn't sure of it at first but in the end she seemed to be a fan!
The first time R pulled out his bass guitar and started playing A's smile took an immediate turn for the south followed by a few tears. This time she decided to get in on the fun!
Hey what's down there?!? I like this part better. Grrrrrr...
With R starting a new job this past summer he was unable to take time off for the first six months so naturally as soon as he was able to we jumped at the idea of taking some time away. Next month we have a big trip to Florida but we spent this past weekend in Boston. It was A's first time to MA and to the Boston Science Museum (where R and I had our first date over 9 years ago!). Here are some pictures from our weekend away.
Why spend money to view a movie about whales when you can get just as much fun out of touching the poster! After a fun day at the museum A got into her bathing suit and went for her first swim in the hotel pool. The pool was a bit to chilly for her liking. R grabbed a few last pictures of our beauty before bedtime.
This particular year and in this particular month I have become increasingly aware of just how blessed I am by the amount of love in my life. The love of friends who challenge me and encourage me. The love of extended family that brings so much joy and comfort. The love of a husband who supports me through thick and thin. The love of siblings who continue to teach me and sustain me. The love of parents and the deep-rooted and committed love that they have for each other that knows no ends. The child-like love of a daughter who wipes away my tears as much as I wipe away hers. And more than ever before I am aware of just how deeply our Heavenly Father's love is for me and for my family. There are many times that I pray and then forget what I've prayed or if I do remember I don't stop to acknowledge that my prayers have been answered. Lately R and I have tried to vocally acknowledge to each other when we see that a prayer has been answered. It has truly been overwhelming. What a constant, faithful and loving God we have!
Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Psalm 36:5
